This is a two-year programme! Students involved in double-degree schemes could join directly the second year.

The master course aims to provide qualifications for entry into the professions in the area of robotics, computer vision, image processing and medical imaging either in public laboratory or private research company. Over 4 semesters (120 ECTS), the students attend the University of Burgundy in France, where all the classes will be taught in English. 

VIBOT students are required to cover the areas of studies below, over the total of 120 ECTS:
  • basis of signal and image processing: software, hardware;
  • tools and methods of computer vision: compression, segmentation, real-time, shape recognition, 3D vision, etc;
  • robotics: fundamentals, control and programming for robot autonomy and intelligence;
  • medical imaging: biologic basis, infrared imagery, X-Ray and ultrasound imagery;
  • research training period or a vocational training period.

Classes will be taught by eminent researchers from ImViA and invited professors from different universities and research groups all other the world. The last semester which can be a practical experience to research will take place in one of the associated partners of the consortium.

Criteria & Requirements

  • Outstanding achievement in the applicant's first degree which must have equivalent to UK First Class in either electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, mathematics, robotics, physics and industrial engineering (i.e. a very good CGPA)
  • Language ability: the course is taught in English and candidates must meet the required standards: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (check here)
  • Student motivation to undertake the programme and relevance to his or her professional development
  • Very good evaluation from referees
